Empowered by Knowledge, Strengthened by Love

At AP-OD, we believe that parents are their child’s first and most powerful teacher. Every time we meet a parent like Angélica Rodríguez Granados, we’re reminded of the strength, resilience, and love that lives within our community.

Angélica is a proud mother of three and a recent graduate of the AP-OD program. She joined the program alongside her husband, seeking support for one of their sons who was falling behind in school and needed psychological support.

“I attended the program because I needed help with my son. He was behind in school and needed therapy. I was looking for answers—and I found them.”

Throughout her journey, Angélica found not only answers, but a community. One that listened, informed, and uplifted her.

Learning That Builds Confidence

Angélica shared that one of the most powerful takeaways was learning how to connect with her children in meaningful ways. From building trust through open conversations to creating routines that promote responsibility and family unity, every lesson mattered.

“I’ve learned to be more patient, especially with my teenage son. Now we ask about their day, stay involved in what they’re watching or playing online, and talk regularly as a family.”

Together with her husband, Angélica also started new family traditions—movie nights, shared meals, and even raising chicks to teach their children about responsibility.

The Power of Parent Partnership

Taking the course as a couple allowed Angélica and her husband to become a united front. Together, they supported one another and grew as a parenting team.

“It made such a difference that my husband took the course with me. We’re working as a team to support our kids.”

She also deeply appreciated learning about her rights and responsibilities as a parent, gaining the tools to advocate for her children and herself.

Paying It Forward

Today, Angélica is a proud advocate of the program and a beacon of encouragement for parents in her community.

“Yes, I would definitely recommend the AP-OD program. It gave me the support and resources I needed—and it gave me confidence as a parent. I’m already recommending it to others.”

She expressed special gratitude for the program’s team, especially Florencio, whose support made her journey even more impactful.

We are so proud of Angélica and all the parents who walk through AP-OD seeking knowledge, support, and community. Your dedication inspires us every day.
