Program Evaluation Tools

Abriendo Puertas/Opening Doors is an evidence-based curriculum co-created by and for parents. It is essential for us to support the development of high-quality program implementation with locally certified facilitators and partners across diverse communities in the US. The Abriendo Puertas/Opening Doors 3rd Edition includes additional tools available to use for the evaluation of your program. This includes a pre-survey and post-survey, and an online portal for data entry, analysis, and presentation.
Below you will find evaluation tools that will support the continuous evaluation and improvements of the curriculum and program upon completing the AP/OD Acquisition Training Institute.

Pre and Post Surveys
The Pre and Post Surveys are the primary evaluation tools for the program. They are available in Spanish or English. The surveys help analyze the program’s effectiveness that measures the participants’ knowledge gained after participating in Abriendo Puertas/Opening Doors. By comparing participants’ answers to the questions before and after participating in the Abriendo Puertas/Opening Doors program, we can better understand how much they learned
There are 40 questions about the 10 Sessions that cover 10 key dimensions: 1) Parenting, 2) Early learning, 3) Language and literacy development, 4) Nutrition and physical activity, 5) Socioemotional development, 6) Use of technology, 7) Mathematical development, 8) School readiness, 9) Advocacy, and 10) Confidence.
