Leading with corazón

In this facilitator spotlight, we share the story of Xochitl Becerra, who has been part of AP-OD for over a decade.

Discover how Xochitl grew from quietly observing sessions to leading them with confidence and dedication. Inspired by the program’s family-centered approach, she became a certified facilitator in 2024 and now champions parents as their children’s first teachers. By prioritizing listening and connection, she has created meaningful impact in her community—from supporting parents as they grow into leadership roles to launching Cafecito y Corazón, an ongoing space for families to gather and support one another.

Through her work, Xochitl continues to uplift parents’ voices, honor their wisdom, and strengthen community.

Liderando con corazón

En este destacado de facilitadora, compartimos la historia de Xochitl Becerra, quien ha sido parte de AP-OD por más de una década.

Descubre cómo Xochitl pasó de observar las sesiones en silencio a liderarlas con confianza y dedicación. Inspirada por el enfoque centrado en la familia del programa, se convirtió en facilitadora certificada en 2024 y ahora apoya a los padres como los primeros maestros de sus hijos. Al dar prioridad a la escucha y la conexión, ha generado un impacto significativo en su comunidad: desde apoyar a los padres a medida que crecen en roles de liderazgo hasta lanzar Cafecito y Corazón, un espacio continuo donde las familias se reúnen, comparten experiencias y se apoyan mutuamente.

You’ll also find a simple family planning tool to help turn hopes for your children into meaningful next steps, along with upcoming workshops and resources to support emotional well-being and financial goals. As we move into 2026, we remain committed to walking alongside families, building connection, honoring parent leadership, and creating spaces where families lead the way.

Al comenzar un nuevo año juntos, esta edición pone en el centro las voces, los sueños y el liderazgo de los padres y cuidadores de la comunidad AP-OD. En esta entrega, destacamos oportunidades para que las familias compartan sus perspectivas a través de nuestro Grupo Asesor Nacional de Co-creación para Padres y Cuidadores, donde las experiencias vividas ayudan a dar forma al trabajo de AP-OD a nivel nacional. También encontrará una herramienta sencilla de planificación familiar para convertir sus esperanzas para sus hijos en próximos pasos significativos, además de talleres y recursos próximos que apoyan el bienestar emocional y las metas financieras.
